Pickle
A pickleball scoreboard a whole group runs on their phones at the court.

What it does
In a rotating doubles group the same questions come up every evening: who sits out next, what's the score, who has played whom. Pickle answers them on one screen.
- Live rally scoring that any phone at the court can tap, so nobody has to be the official scorer.
- Gathering days with who turned up, every match, and a won/lost table for the day.
- Next match picks who plays next from who has sat out longest.
How it's built
- One HTML file with plain JavaScript. No framework, no build step.
- Each phone keeps its own copy in the browser, so it works with bad court Wi-Fi. A small Cloudflare function keeps everyone's copies in step.
- Two phones tapping a point at the same moment can't both count it. The store only accepts a change built on the latest version of the game.
- The same page is wrapped as an Android app, where each buyer's data stays on their own phone.
I built it with Claude, one feature at a time, testing each one at the court the next evening.
About the demo. The demo runs in the app's on-device mode with ten invented players and a few weeks of made-up games. Nothing syncs.
